Ziggy's Best Birthday

Ziggy's Best Birthday is a children's story for children aged 18 months to 5 years. It offers children, parents and caregivers choices of how to enjoy it: Read To Me, Read Myself and Auto Play.

This is a glimpse into the beloved comic character Ziggy and his world, as we join him in his birthday celebration. Ziggy has been in syndication for forty years. He is read by millions of people daily in 600 newspaprs globally. In this story, Ziggy brings children some important lessons. He also teaches them about giving and sharing and about loving and caring, with a new birthday song.

The special message here is teaching children how to protect their skin from the harmful effects of the sun. Children learn to wear their hats and to play in the shade, how to protect their skin and many more important lessons. Brought to us by the Foundation for Global Skin Health Strategies, this is the collaboration of Tom Wilson, Ziggy's owner and illustrator, Marina D'Arezzo author;
editors Dr. William Levis and Dr. Albert Lefkovits. It is narrated by
Dr. Brian Keller. The song is sung with music by Jon Pousette Dart.

It is imperative that children be protected from the harmful rays of the sun, as they are the least able to defend themselves. As informed adults, we know that skin cancer is the fastest growing cancer in the United States. The creators of Ziggy's Best Birthday hope that this story will bring laughter, happy memories to save forever and more birthdays for every child.
